For Mikhail Khodorkovsky until 2 February 2009

On Wednesday the Chita Region Court accepted the arguments of the investigators and extended Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s detention in custody until 2 February 2009.

The defence are convinced that there can be only one logic to the unlawful manipulation of the measure of restraint and their client’s parole application: Mikhail Khodorkovsky “must not only be detained, but be detained indefinitely and in conditions of maximum security!”

On Thursday the Court will consider extending Platon Lebedev’s detention in custody.
