Moscow Court Rejects Bail Appeal of Yukos Case Defendant
The Moscow City Court on March 31 rejected an appeal to release on bail MENATEP head Platon Lebedev. Earlier, the Meshchansky Court ruled that Mr. Lebedev should remain in custody until June 26, 2005. In its ruling, the court cited the number and seriousness of Lebedev's crimes, as well as his potential to flee the country or exercise undue pressure on witnesses.
